Hybernská Restaurant serves well-plated and good quality Czech food in the centre of Prague.

The place is pretty big, with tables reaching down past the bar area and a mezzanine floor above.

To the left of the bar is another seating area.

The front area of the bar is a little echoey – the seats under the mezzanine floor seem quieter.

There appears to be a floor below, although we didn’t see it open.

All the staff were efficient and friendly. Prices correct as end October 2025.

A 0.15l glass of Primitivo Miopasso was reasonable value at 108 Kč (bottle in the shops 250 Kč). Sold as a 0.7l bottle of ‘chilled filtered still water’ (49 Kč) this was clearly a 0.5l bottle. Then, they charged us another 49 Kč for the refill.

Luckily, the food made up for the water rip off. Both dishes were excellent.

Grilled duck breast, cherry demi-glace, confit potatoes with baby spinach, roasted chicory with nut crumble, little gem salad 359 Kč.

Beef cheeks in red wine sauce, potato crêpes, leaf spinach, poached egg, hollandaise sauce 345 Kč.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Hybernská. This is a place for both locals and tourists to eat good Czech food in the centre of Prague.
