Most airport hotels are just places to sleep before an early-morning flight. Not so the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport – I would have happily stayed a week there! Plus, you can check in whenever you want and enjoy any 24-hours.

The following video shows an Executive Suite, the Regency Lounge, the pool, lush garden and lobby.

The immigration arrivals system at Bangkok airport is a mess. Expect to queue for an hour, even if you have previously completed an arrival card in advance.

The hotel is directly connected to the airport via an underground walkway – it’s about a ten-minute walk, so a regular shuttle bus is also provided.

The lobby is huge, modern, but also beautiful.

Check in was quick and easy and soon we were in our Executive Suite: A separate living room and bedroom with a door between them. There was a separate toilet in addition to the one in the bathroom. We’d also asked for a rollaway bed in case one of us decided to move because of my snoring!

The room was quiet and comfortable.

The pool makes you forget that you’re at an airport hotel.

As if the pool wasn’t enough, there is a lovely garden to enjoy.

We visited the Regency executive lounge. Wow! This peaceful lounge puts others to shame with a great selection of food and drinks. There is enough here to make this your venue for dinner.

We checked out for an early morning flight and were almost sad to leave. The Hyatt Regency is one of the best airport hotels we have visited and is highly recommended.
