Asia is one of several restaurants at the Atrium Prestige Resort and offers al fresco, fine-dining. You’ll likely only dine there if you are a guest at the hotel but it deserves its own separate review.
This view was taken from Asia’s sister restaurant, Thalassa. Both have a beautiful poolside setting – pool is decorative only and not for swimming.
If you have the all-inclusive package, then pretty much everything is free – I’ll include the actual prices for those who aren’t.
There are a choice of wines, served by the bottle, half- and even quarter-bottle, all good quality and perfectly drinkable – included as part of all-inclusive, as is bottled water. We liked the Maestro red. €24 a 0.75l bottle and 1 litre bottle of water €3 for non all-inclusive.
After our first visit, we decided that it was better to have multiple starters, rather than starter and main, but not sushi as that was made earlier in the day, rather than made to order.
A lovely Sea Food Tom Yum soup. But expensive at €15 for non all-inclusive.
Tempura shrimp, Three fresh shrimp with a slightly too thick batter to be tempura, but still delicious. Again expensive at €26 for non all-inclusive.
Sushi and sashimi combo. Sushi was good quality, but made earlier that day. Sashimi amazing. €24 for non all-inclusive
Sashimi. Fresh and amazing – as good as you’d find anywhere. Good value at €24 for non all-inclusive.
Crispy duck. This dish wasn’t quite right. The duck wasn’t pink and was breaded. €36 for non all-inclusive.
The starters in Asia are very good, the service excellent, all in a beautiful setting. Even if you aren’t all-inclusive, although I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t choose that, it’s worth a visit just for the sashimi plate.
You will need to make a reservation using the Atrium Hotels app, which is activated after you check in to the hotel.
