The Brit Bar, Prague, opened in September 2023 and was immediately popular with tourists and locals. Seven months on, they now serve Guinness and have perfected the fish and chips.
The Brit Bar is really close to Národní třída tram and metro station, just turn into Ostrovní street and you’re there.
The interior is really modern, with bar stools along the bar so that single customers don’t occupy a table and can chat to the bar staff.
There are plenty of large TVs for sports.
Czech Kozel 11 lager is 75 Kč for 0.5l. Guinness is 120 Kc for a 0.5l and that compares well to the other pubs in Prague that serve Guinness.
They struggled with Fish and Chips in the beginning, but have recently perfected their offering, using fresh fish and making their own batter. We really enjoyed the latest version (395 Kc).
The brunch menu runs 11am – 3pm. I wish they offered this all day.
The bacon and cheese omelette with avocado was amazing.
The Brit Burger 259 Kč plus 99 Kč for fries, is a good quality burger.
All the staff are really friendly and professional.
The toilets are clean and have paper towels – much better than hand dryers.
The Brit Bar is worth a visit if you’re looking to watch a sporting event with some decent beer and pub food.
