Just a few tram stops from the centre of Prague, the Vinohradský brewery on Korunní has great Czech beer and mostly good food in a modern bar/restaurant.
A large Vinohradská 11 beer 69 Kč.
Chicken roll marinated in brandy with mashed potatoes and butter, portobello mushrooms, baby spinach and shallot sauce – 279 Kč. This was a really good Czech dish, although the one from our first visit (pictured) was better than the second.
Veal hanger steak with salad – 289 Kč. This was a weekly special and that’s good, as it doesn’t deserve a place on the regular menu. Meat was chewy and salad average.
There are more seats downstairs.
Vinohradský pivovar’s food is hit and miss, but the place is worth a visit if you want to escape the tourist centre, drink good beer and mingle with locals.
