The Hampton by Hilton Poznań Old Town is a perfect place to stay. There’s no need to look elsewhere!

The lobby is modern, the desk staff friendly and speak English.

As Hilton Diamond, we were given three bar vouchers and a room on the 6th floor.

The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, a heated mirror, a heated towel rail and a cute storage area for toiletries.

The room had two complimentary bottles of water and these were replenished each day.

There were plenty of electrical sockets and one USB on the clock radio.

The view to Poznań old town was marred by a large construction crane in the lot opposite the hotel. We didn’t hear any construction noise during our stay.

Sometimes a crow would visit the ledge outside the window. I think the shape of the ledge means there is a channel of water there that the crow liked to drink.

The standard wi-fi was perfect; always reconnected and was fast enough to watch Netflix on my laptop.

The air con worked nicely and wasn’t noisy.

All Hampton by Hilton hotels offer a free breakfast to every guest. The result, especially in the US, is that the breakfast quality suffers. This isn’t the case in this hotel – the breakfast was excellent. I used my vouchers each day for a glass of sparkling wine.

Poznań Old Town is just a short walk away. There are also plenty of trams that can take you further afield.

To get to the hotel, we took the taxi outside the airport (out of convenience) – it cost 82 zlotý (20 Euros) and that included being stuck in some traffic. The Uber return was 33 zlotý.

We paid for everything using Apple Pay and never drew a single zlotý note from an ATM in five days.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton by Hilton Poznań Old Town. The cost per night? 62 Euros.
