Kubistro’s current location is closed and they have moved to a new location Mexická 7 in Vršovice. Review below is for the old location – we’ll update when we visit the new.

Kubistro is a small restaurant, just a few steps from Náměstí Míru in the Vinohrady area of Prague. The chef patron, Jakub Reimitz, produces fresh, quality food from a small kitchen.

The restaurant isn’t much wider than the front entrance.

The room at the rear is slightly bigger.

Our waitress was friendly and efficient.

A 0.1l glass of good Montepulciano 45 Kč which makes the more sensible 0.2l still a reasonable price. A carafe of water 40 Kč.

I realise that we should have tried different dishes to review, but we both wanted Roasted Chicken Breast Supreme with carrots roasted in maple syrup, young pea pods, grilled polenta, watercress and thick chicken gravy (270 Kč). We will go back, try something else and update this review.

Our waitress asked if they could substitute the polenta with potatoes and that was fine with us.

The dish was perfectly prepared and presented, although I would have liked more gravy.

We really enjoyed our visit and recommend Kubistro.
