Manero has four locations; two in Alicante and two in Madrid. We visited Manero Balmis, Alicante and were a little disappointed.
The exterior and interior are beautiful, although the tables are too close together.

A 0.75l bottle of water was overpriced at €6.00. A glass of Manero Rioja Reserva (Tempranillo, Graciano) €8.00.
The bread €7.00 (€3.50 each) – overpriced but excellent.
Two Oxtail Croquettes €7.80 (€3.90 each). Delicious.
Meatballs with mushroom sauce €16.00. Nice but nothing special.
Veal cheeks with potatoes €18.00. Again, nice but nothing special.
We also ordered sides: Confit artichoke in olive oil €7 and Potatoes €6.
We enjoyed our visit, but wouldn’t return. There are better places to eat in Alicante that provide excellent food and drinks at lower prices. For example: La Taberna del Gourmet and Bigoli.
