Set atop Marina Bay Sands, CÉ LA VI Singapore is one of the city’s most iconic rooftop destinations, combining a sky-high restaurant, bar and club lounge with sweeping views over Marina Bay and the skyline. We visited for dinner on my birthday.
The view is spectacular.
It’s possible to visit the bar area for S$38 and that includes one drink. That’s much better value than the observation deck on the floor below. Restaurant table bookings require a minimum spend of S$50 per guest and that represents even better value as you have a seat.
We booked for one hour before sunset.
There are two lines for the elevators – those with a reservation have the shortest line. The restaurant is mostly open air, although there are some semi-indoor tables.
All the staff were friendly and professional. Prices correct as of April 2026.
A 0.75l bottle of water S$12, A 0.5l Sapporo draft beer S$20. A glass of 2023 – Malbec Luigi Bosca, La Linda, Old Vines S$24. A Macallan 12 years, double cask was probably the best value at S$23.
The pan-seared scallops (S$38) were delicious and perfectly cooked.
A Salt-Baked Whole 800g Seabass with a lemongrass beurre blanc, salmon roe and tonburi S$140 (for two to share). This was brought to our table prior to baking.
This gave us time to take some photos.
Here you can see the Gardens by the Bay domes, the Supertree Grove and the hundreds of container ships at sea.
The observation deck is one floor below.
It’s possible to wander round to another bar area and that has a direct view to the famous infinity pool (hotel guests only).
I believe these sofas have a minimum spend requirement.
The sea bass arrived and we filleted it ourselves. We’re no strangers to salt-baked seabass and this version wasn’t the best we’ve had. However, that didn’t stop us from eating everything!
I was presented with a nice birthday cake, thankfully without any singing.
The views were changing.
And the pool was now almost empty.
If you visit Singapore then CÉ LA VI is a must visit. If heights make you dizzy, the food at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen is better albeit with ground-level views of the bay.
