The Seaview Restaurant serves both great food and amazing views from its location on the lower promenade in Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Once inside, there is a lovely view to the beach and pier.

There are some outside tables, although I’d be worried about seagulls stealing my fish!

All the staff were friendly and professional. Prices correct as June 2026.

A 250ml glass of good Primitivo £11. Tap water free.

The fried whitebait, lemon aioli made a perfect starter. £5.

A lovely Hake with  spring vegetable fricassee, dill cream veloute £24.

A side of lobster mash £10 – great mash, but we realised after that I should have had chips as they cook proper fish shop chips.

The star of the evening was lemon sole, brown butter, capers, parsley, lemon. £24.

This was so easy to fillet, as sole doesn’t have those thin bones that come with trout or sea bass. And absolutely delicious.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Seaview Restaurant. Reservations recommended, especially at weekends.

Prior to our dinner, I took this video while walking on the beach.

We would usually take the funicular railway up to the top of the cliff, but they are currently rebuilding the carriages. Here’s a previous ride from 2025.
